Aims from a focus group: From a focus group, I want to achieve the audiences knowledge and expectations of the Indie Rock genre. To do this, these are some of the examples of the questions I could ask- What would you usually expect to see in an Indie Rock music video? Can you discuss what you think makes a music video an Indie Rock music video? What is your preferred/ favourite Indie Rock band/ artist? Why? Do you prefer when an Indie Rock music video has a storyline or a performance? Why? Would you prefer to see a lot of close- ups of the band/ artist in an Indie Rock music video?

Aim of my questionnaire: The aim of my questionnaire is to get some research into my target demographic for the music video I am creating. This involves seeing what they prefer to view in an Indie Rock music video and what they will expect to see. This will then allow me to create an Indie Rock music video that the audience will want to watch and follows the codes and conventions of the genre.
